'Santa Cruz' is a vigorous spreader with small upright foliage that has very little oregano fragrance. By mid summer it shoot up to about 18 inches and has a fine display of small upright hop-type flowers in shades of dusty pink and mauve, with lime green calyces. It looks stunning in the garden, and looks beautiful all summer. We cut the flowers for drying - it is one of our favorite flowers for wreathmaking, since it holds the color for years when dried and doesn't shatter so it is easy to work with.

'Santa Cruz' likes heat and drought. Do not overwater! Fertilize sparingly, only once a year. Butterflies love this plant when it is in bloom, and so will you! Prune back to the basal growth early in the spring.
